Petaluma Wedding Film // Bloomfield Farms
Dasha + Jon
This couple!! How did I get so lucky to tell such awesome stories?! Dasha + Jon's wedding was so unique, personal, authentic and FUN! Filmed at the gorgeous Bloomfield Farms & Events in Petaluma, this wedding had so many personal touches: April, Jon's sister sang during the processional and also designed their Ketubah; their chuppah was inspired by a Chagall painting and conceptualized by Dasha's mom; their first dance song was performed by a couple of friends; they served Indian food from DOSA because they love exotic food; their ceremony was both Christian and Jewish...with Jon's dad officiating the Christian part; they had signature drinks named after their pets (who I also follow on Instagram!) they served pie from Petaluma Pie Company because as Jon exclaimed, "Who likes cake anyway?!" The gorgeous sunflowers (a unique and perfect choice!) from Vanda Floral Design matched their vibrant and bright personalities.
From Dasha: "We met as freshmen at Vanderbilt, when Jon lived on the floor above me in the same dorm. We came from super different backgrounds (Dasha =liberal Russian Jew from SF while Jon came from a Midwestern Christian missionary background), which led us to some really amazing
conversations over hot apple cider. We became really close friends, and started dating about 8 months later."
I love how they combined and honored their backgrounds and really gave their guests a unique wedding experience. The film starts with Jon struggling to say part of his vows in Russian!
