I've heard a lot of vows over the years but some are more memorable than others. Gabriela and Daniel's heartfelt personal vows were so lovely and perfect. I adore this couple. As soon as I met them I was struck by Gabriela's effervescent personality and Daniel's sense of humor. They definitely make a great team. Gabriela's sister, Fabiola, said in her speech, they found each other in a sea of people.

This wedding had so many thoughtful touches. A handwritten chalkboard sign explaining how Daniel proposed reads: Two days before Christmas, 2012, while conducting a blind fold "cupcake tasting," Daniel appears with another plate. Gabriela desperately gropes around unable to find cupcakes, though she did encounter a small box instead. She removed the blindfold and she opened the box as Daniel asked Gabriela to marry him. After moments of tears and embrace, Daniel asked if  "this means ~ Yes?" Gabriela replied, "but of course!" So naturally cupcakes were on the menu from Crisp Bake Shop. This was one of the most impressive cupcake displays I have ever seen, not to mention the variety of flavors!

This was one of those weddings where I felt like family. Every one was so warm and sweet. I got a lot of hugs that night! I had worked with Gabriela's sister, Fabiola on a Mama and Me video with her daughter Sofia, the flower girl.

I worked with some FABULOUS vendors that day! Meren Dehaze from A Savvy Event was on hand to make everything perfect. I already knew Andrea from Crisp since I had worked on a Mama and Me video for her as well! Allyson Wiley Photography was a blast to work with. Since food, wine and family were such a focus at this event, Girl and the Fig was there serving up their delicious food family style, paired with BR Cohn wines.

Sometimes it can take a while to find the one, and that's perfectly ok. I'm sure Gabriela and Daniel would agree it was worth the wait.
